One Killed and Three Injured in Street Car Crash
In Dubuque Iowa on October 21 William Wingert and his companions were in a car struck by a Rhomberg avenue street car near Dock avenue. Wingert died instantly, brother Leon Wingert was fatally injured or severely injured, and two women Miss Hannie Kipp and Miss E Still suffered serious cuts and bruises. Coroner Fullarton recovered the body and identified him by a registration card.

Sioux City Iowa January 21 1918 Gek 21. Mrs W E Haynes of the Mars receives a letter from her son Lieut Loyal Haynes describing a meeting with his father in France. Sergt W E Haynes in the quartermaster's department and Loyal in the infantry rode overseas a few weeks apart last spring. The furlough visit gave both families great pleasure.
