Rail congestion blocks Washington's birthday parade moves
Washington, Feb 16 Director General McAdoo said eastern freight congestion and the need to move the last contingent of the national army will curb parade plans for Washington's birthday. He noted the 315th infantry and 312th artillery from Camp Meade cannot be moved to Philadelphia. Some parades may occur where congestion is light, especially near camps, with efforts to transport troops while preserving essential supplies.
