Iowa men to report to Camp Worden not Camp Dodge
Gov. Harding was informed that 500 Iowa men certified for service but not yet moved will be sent to Camp Worden Washington rather than Camp Dodge. Draft boards must furnish their quotas to the Pacific coast and only about five men per district will be needed. Postal employes inducted between Dec 12 and Jan 1 are deferred until after Jan 1 1918. Legal advisory boards will assist registered men rather than draft boards. The kitchen shop moves from 123 E Fifth Street to Commercial Bank basement after Dec 15.
