Damage suit settled after ten years in court

The personal injury damage case of I. A. Weber against the Rock Island railroad, begun after the Homestead wreck of March 20, 1905, has been settled for 500 damages plus costs. Weber, a mail clerk from Council Bluffs, was injured and claimed permanent disability.

Civil war veteran Josiah C. Richey was discharged from the soldiers home in Marshalltown Iowa after four witnesses testified to disloyal remarks about the U S government and its president. Hampton Home Burns in Sudden Blaze
