Burglars Steal Clothes From Greene Store

Greene Iowa December 12 County Attorney Shepard and Sheriff Martin aid M Blumer in locating clothing taken from the Evens Blumer store. More than 40 suits and about a dozen pairs of shoes missing along with gloves and small items. Goods were sold to a Waterloo firm with local tags on some. Some of Waterloo's recruits delayed by the army draft stayed in Davenport overnight due to a high pace at the main examination station. The Y M C A provided lodging with men sleeping in the gymnasium lobbies and using the pool and billiard rooms as beds.
