Rainy Waterloo Sees .55 Inch Saturday Shower
Fifty five hundredths of an inch of rain fell in a short heavy shower Saturday afternoon in Waterloo under observation by Ralph B. Slippy, a voluntary government weather observer. The rain bypassed surrounding towns, leaving fields dusty and in need of rain, with no sewer or basement damage reported. The day brought greenery to lawns and gardens, while yesterday's clear skies drew locals to visits, picnics, and county golf and baseball events.
