Two Die in Elizabethton Storm Disaster
Mrs. Andy Lewis aged 25 and her infant daughter were killed when a hail and rain storm struck Elizabethton Tennessee Monday night. Their house washed away, the husband a tinsmith was saved by clinging to a tree branch. The baby's body remained missing as plate glass shattered in business district stores and property losses were estimated between 100000 and 250000 dollars.

Lightning Injures Misses Mast Daughters at Brushy Fork Home
Two Misses Jennie and Bonnie Mast were seriously burned and knocked unconscious when lightning struck their Brushy Fork home during a thunderstorm at 2 am. Bonnie remained conscious Tuesday. doctor says both will recover though Bonnie must stay quiet. Destruction included a torn telephone wire, roof hole, shattered windows, door ripped away, and grass fires within 50 yards.
