Former Wataugan S A Holler Dies by Self Inflicted Gunshot
The Charlotte Observer reports the death of S A Holler a 46 year old former Wataugan barber and Hollers shop proprietor at 231 West Trade Street Charlotte. He shot himself at his home 1102 South Graham after returning from work. His wife daughter and neighbors recalled his recent liquor use and the lack of a stated motive. The weapon belonged to A L Walker and was found near the bed. Surviving are wife and several children.

John H. Cook of Watauga County dies at his son James Cook’s Boone home at age 80. Funeral services were held at Bluff City Tennessee.
