Judge Ogelsby ordered a capial for George F. Bingham of Watauga County. Bingham is wanted in Lexington for false pretenses after trading for a store with notes secured by mortgages on land claimed at 34 acres. The deed allegedly described more land than existed and the suspect disappeared after taking stock and fixtures. Coffey, a Lenoir native, is serving a life sentence in Wisconsin for the murder of Hattie Hales Coffey, whom he allegedly married in a bigamous union.
