Stringfellow Dies at 75 in Alabama Home
Kiam W. Stringfellow 75 longtime president of the First National Bank of Anniston and summer resident of Blowing Rock died in Alabama last Sunday. Funeral held in Anniston Monday with burial in Montgomery. A native of Hyde Park New York he built the Chetela estate at Blowing Rock and endowed the Stringfellow Memorial Church. Survived by a second wife Nan Cannon of Concord.

Death of Sherman Wellborn in Deep Gap District
Sherman Wellborn of Stony Fork died Friday noon at his home after a seven year diabetes illness. He was 43 and survived by his widow and six children. Funeral Sunday at Stony Fork Baptist Church with interment in the family cemetery. He served on the Board of County Commissioners 1922 to 1924 and was active in the Republican party and Ashler Lodge Masonry.
