H. H. Greene died at his Boone home Monday morning after illness. He had moved to Boone after Watauga Building & Loan Association formed, serving as Secretary-Treasurer. Rural Route 2 to Begin Monday Out of Boone
The new rural free delivery route from Boone starts next Monday. Carrier W S Houck, who has served the old route 18 years, will continue handling Route 2. The route departs Boone at 8 30 a m and returns by 5 p m, merging through Sands with the former Sands route.
