Colonel B. Pearson known as Colonel Idaho Bill brought two wild bears to the White House for President Coolidge. The pair rode in a Dodge Brothers sidecar after a 4000 mile delivery from Mexico. The bears will be sent to the National Zoological Park.

Icy gales off the New Jersey coast forced seven of the Christmas rum squadron to anchor offshore. Mother and Daughter Buried Same Day in Trade Tennessee
Ex Sheriff Bob Madron of Johnson County Tennessee visited and said his mother Celia Madron and grandmother Joana Reese were buried in Trade. Both died within hours of each other after lifelong ties to the area. The double funeral drew a large crowd.
