Playmates as Bearers Funeral for Drowned Boy at Colonial Beach
The funeral for 12 year old George Colton Burch of Southeast Washington, who drowned last Sunday at Colonial Beach, will be held at his parents home at 1 p.m. Rev. A W Graves of Falls Church Va will conduct. Pallbearers are Walter White Edwin Tyler Evans Reed Harold Shannon Samuel McCauley and John Hartley. Colton, employed by Southern Railway after school, accompanied friends on a canoe outing when the craft overturned. He could not swim and died from heart weakness linked to inflammatory rheumatism. An inquest found accidental drowning. The body was brought to the city by private launch at 7 20 yesterday morning.

Funeral of Willam E. Humphrey Remembered at Home
Willam E. Humphrey died early Saturday after a two month illness at his home 1725 Sixth street. He lived in the city for fifty six years since arriving from England at age twenty one. He was the first Post Office Department appointee by Lincoln under Blair. He later joined the Agricultural Department and remained there until his death. He was a longtime Knights of Pythias member.

Negro Delegates Leave After Educational Congress Meeting
The newly elected board of directors of the Negro Young People's, Christian and Educational Congress met at Galbraith M. E. Church on Sixth Street near L Street NW. Bishop George W. Clinton presided, Kelly Miller of Washington was elected secretary, and Dr. L Garland of Pennsylvania became chairman of the executive committee.
