Ryan to Give Barbecue at Oak Ridge

Special to The Washington Post from Lynghbore Virginia Aug 4 W K Ryan son of New York millionaire invites all white residents of Nelson County to his father’s Oak Ridge home for a barbecue next Saturday. Beefs, sheep hogs and chickens will be killed. lemonade and other drinks served. A merry go round brass band and a dancing pavilion are hired. If successful the event will be repeated annually.

Injuries Sought From Washington Gaslight That Exploded

Henry Grade filed suit in the District Supreme Court seeking damages of 25000 for injuries alleged to be permanent from the December 2 explosion at the Washington Gaslight Company plant located at Twelfth and M streets southeast.
