Interstate Commerce Commission Opens Party Rate Tickets to Public
The Interstate Commerce Commission ruled that party rate tickets used by amusement companies must be available to the general public. The decision, delivered by Commissioner Prouty with Knapp and Harlan dissenting, holds that transport for amusement groups is not distinct from ordinary travel when the same number of noncompany passengers ride. The ruling states that if the carriage conditions match, rates must be identical for all.
