Kidnap Robbery Shocks Hy Vee Store in Corydon Iowa

Wayne County sheriff reports an apparent kidnaping robbery at Hy Vee in Corydon. Employee Randy Beaver, 19, was kidnapped and locked in a car trunk for over an hour after thieves seized the day’s receipts. He escaped unharmed. Police found a California plated car later. amount stolen described as substantial but not disclosed.

Washington High graduation changes and tennis court plan

The Washington Board of Education will meet at 7 30 p m Wednesday at the Administration Building to review Curriculum Council recommendations on graduation requirements with possible new math and science mandates. The board will also discuss Case Field area development with Don Minick and a potential sale of nearby private land for tennis courts. They will review a parent survey on grading systems and hear elementary principals’ management objectives.

Hurricane Eloise slammed ashore between Fort Walton Beach and Panama City with 120 mph winds and crushing tides. Kalona Historical Village to Host Third Fall Festival

Kalona Historical Village announces its third annual Fall Festival to be held Friday and Saturday September 26 and 27. Woman seeks custody amid Ford assassination case details
