Six bandits rob bank messenger car in Chicago
Six men armed with shotguns robbed a bank messenger car on a busy street in Chicago, stealing about $97,000 including cash, bonds, and checks. They halted traffic, then sped away, abandoning the messenger auto with $56,063 in checks found inside. Police later tallied loot at $97,572.
