The Demon Booster Club and pork producing alumni of Washington High School will serve a pork supper for the varsity football team at 6 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, at the high school. Tickets for the Iowa Chop meal are $3. Booster Club members and fans are urged to attend and help kick off the Southeast Seven Conference season. the regular Booster Club meeting follows at 7:30 p.m. in the high school.

A tractor with a scoop shovel began uprooting trees at the Kent State University gym annex site in Kent Ohio near the 1970 antiwar demonstration where four students were shot. The equipment arrived on a tractor-trailer escorted by six KSU campus police cars as two protesting girls cried and warned “You will have to answer for this later.”

Six babies, four boys and two girls, weighed 2.2 to 2.7 pounds each, were delivered by Caesarean section two months early at Leyden University Hospital. The parents, first-time, used fertility drugs.
