Ex-iowans among three dead in Alaska plane crash
The bodies of pilot Roger Bray and passengers Mike Damon and David Ewing were recovered from a green and white Super cub on pontoons 110 miles southwest of Anchorage. Damon and Ewing, former Iowans, had hired Bray for a hunting site search and departed from Pelaquana Lake Lodge a week earlier. Authorities conducted extensive search flights, but the plane carried no flight plan and lacked survival gear beyond rifles and knives.
