Judge Dewey moves to clear the term's docket as probate work finishes today and tomorrow and the petit jury is called Monday. Next week's docket includes J F Younkin et al versus Old Bros et al on Tuesday and multiple civil matters through Friday.
Sigourney announces a three day amateur baseball tournament from Tuesday to Thursday with ten clubs, 20 purse per game, daily lineup of high quality contests. Schedule includes Martinsburg versus What Cheer, Sigourney against New Sharon, Oxford against Pekay, Brighton versus Williamsburg, and finals with Sigourney vs Riverside. Admission 25 cents. excursion rail rates offered.
Chas Persell found by Sheriff Teeter with a traveling man's grip was brought before Justice Rogers. He pleaded guilty to vagrancy and was committed to jail.
J Isenhart of this city and a man named Gentry of Oska loosa have bought the Llorse Shoe restaurant in Oskaloosa and will take possession at once. Isenhart will not move his family.
Acting-Captain H. Fulton received a letter from Adjutant-General Wright inviting Company D to participate in the Burlington semi-centennial celebration. They are allowed mileage and board but no extra allowance. they may accept and stay in camp about a week.

Cascade builds a nile trotting track with Williams of Galesburg as manager, capital stock forty thousand dollars. Race meeting next week may finalize plans.
