Washington Base Ball Club Faces Burlington In Low Attendance Tilt

The Washington Base Ball Club, after an almost perfect season with only one loss to Riverside, battled Burlington in drizzle that kept spectators away. Weimer pitched for Alberson, yielding a lopsided 13 to 1 finish as rain halted play in the seventh inning. Prisoner Arrested For Grand Larceny In Sigourney

A man arrested by Sheriff Teeter and held at the county jail was taken to Sigourney by Sheriff Barlow. He is wanted for grand larceny after a prior theft with three others of a hand car. He gave the name Purcel but is identified as James Donald. The grip belonged to W. L. Vanllooser, traveling for J. G. Hutchison & Co., shipped to him yesterday.

Lucy B Dominates Free-for-All Trot at Winfield

Lucy B won the free-for-all trot at Winfield yesterday with ease. Sardis Ensign won the second heat, but Lucy B took the other three heats despite a slow track and drizzle. Heats ranged from 2:20 to an unspecified final time.
