Infant dies in Richland crash near Keota
A week old Francis Michael Harras died en route to St Josephs Hospital after a collision four miles north of Richland on a gravel road. His parents Richard L and Karen Linnenkamp Harras survived with two other sons. Driver Ralph Shirkey is in critical condition. Funeral arrangements by Gould Funeral Home. Graveside services Saturday at Sts Peter and Paul Cemetery near Keota conducted by Rev L G Bergthold.

Fire at farm damages combine near Columbus Junction

Four Die In Iowa Traffic Crashes
United Press International reports four people died in Iowa mishaps. Deane Sherman 34 of Arlington his three year old son Scott and James Cummings 25 of Maynard perished in a head on crash near Maynard on Iowa 150. A third car driven by Judy Von Seggern of Fayette rolled into a ditch after the collision. Dennis Jones 17 of Davenport died when his motorcycle struck a truck near Davenport's business district. The 1965 Iowa traffic toll reached 620, down 48 from last year at this time.
