Des Moines IA UPI Attorney General Lawrence Scalise ruled the 1965 Iowa Civil Rights Act does not require school districts to provide bus transportation for private and parochial students. He said school buses are not public accommodations under the act because transport is available only to public school students and not to all people.

A F Wolfe dies at Pleasant Plain
Andrew Franklin Wolfe 84 of Pleasant Plain died this morning after a one day illness at his home south of Pleasant Plain. Funeral arrangements are pending at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton. He was born August 5 1881 near Germanville to Henry and Mary Wolfe. He married Helen Whitacre June 23 1915. they farmed south of Pleasant Plain for 46 years. He was a member of the Friends Church at Pleasant Plain. Survivors include his wife a son Clifford J Wolfe of Georgetown Ill two grandsons a brother Henry of Brighton and two sisters Margaret Wolfe and Emma Lyon of Mt Pleasant.
