The sheriff investigates two rural home burglaries in Washington County over the weekend. At the Bob Marie residence near Washington, thieves took jewelry diamonds a stereo tape player tools 40 cash and five rifles and shotguns and may have taken wedding gifts. At the Lloyd Duensing home thieves cut telephone lines moved a safe opened and stole a color television record player 110 cash travelers cheques jewelry two wrist watches a still camera a movie camera projector binoculars gold fillings and more as the break in occurred late Friday night or early Saturday.

UNICEF drive nets $738 in Washington
A small army of youngsters collected $738.41 Sunday night in Washington for UNICEF. Rev. John McCorkell, chairman of the 1975 UNICEF committee, said the total tops last year’s nearly $700. Additional donations may be sent to Rodney Davisson, treasurer, at 1315 E. Washington St. The campaign is sponsored by the Council of Religious Affairs with grade school and junior high students participating.

Elderly Health Clinic Openings Planned in Iowa
Four county area in east central Iowa will see new elderly health clinics funded by the 1975 Iowa Legislature.
