George Washington Slept Here at Washington High in November

Washington High presents the comedy George Washington Slept Here in the auditorium November 7 and 8 at 8 p.m. Tickets 1.50 adults 0.75 students, from cast or office, reserved seats at McDaniel Drug Store from November 3. The Newton Fuller family story features the cast including Ben Goeke Marty Schooley and others under director Michael Kramme.

Washington Plans City Halloween Festivities Next Friday

The event opens with a 5 45 p m parade from the YMCA for preschool through sixth grade with three prize divisions. Afterward a cartoon festival and awards follow at the YMCA gym with treats for all. A junior high dance runs 8 to 10 30 p m Saturday at the YMCA. Fright film showings and free admission complete the program.

Washington High School Opens House Tuesday Evening

Washington High School invites parents and the public to an open house on Tuesday October 28 from 7 to 9 p.m. Teachers will be available for conferences and demonstrations include yearbook and newspaper production, video use in P E and athletics, crafts, class-project materials, and the metric system. A floor plan will guide visitors to displays and rooms of interest.

Washington County Named Official Bicentennial Community

James Frier announces Washington County is an official bicentennial community after a message from Frank Harrington regional director of the American Revolution Bicentennial Administration. A ceremony for the banner is planned and the bicentennial committee meets Monday at 7 30 p m in Washington City Hall to discuss time capsule picnic Century Farm Rubio and other local projects inviting all interested residents.
