Stolen Jewels Recovered After Waterloo Arrest
Waterloo police recovered $1,000 worth of jewelry from Olson Jewelry Co Fort Dodge after A E Schilling 41 a former Fort Dodge employee was arrested for careless driving and drunkenness. Police seized 43 items including about 40 watches 160 plus wrist bands 15 watch chains and 12 boxes of silverware. He admitted taking the loot while employed at Olson Jewelry and will be turned over to Fort Dodge authorities.

Airplane Used In Hunt For Slayer Near Webster City
Sheriff Lear used an airplane and ground deputies Friday to search fields near the Groshens farm seven miles northeast of Webster City for a suspect in the slayings of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Groshens. Willis Scott, a student pilot, flew over the area but no trace was found.

County Corn Map Moves to Davenport Display
