Davenport Iowa UPI two teenagers were jailed on juvenile homicide charges after the body of 15 year old Thomas A Stickel was found in a garage behind a juvenile suspect’s home. Police say Stickel died from a head gunshot and was discovered sprawled in an open car doorway.

Police seek thief who stole a jewelry case with about 200 diamond, emerald, and sapphire rings from a locked Davenport trunk. Grinnell Blaze Uncovers Marijuana In Van Crash
Poweshiek County deputies confiscated about 10 pounds of a marijuana like substance from a van demolished in a fiery I 80 crash near Grinnell. The driver, Louis Marney Jr., 22, of Ogdenburg New York, was listed in critical condition with second and third degree burns at University Hospitals Iowa City. The crash involved a semitrailer driven by Frank Bauer, 49, of Chicago. three one gallon gas cans were in the van when it burst into flames.

Charged in attempt to steal truck hogs
Elmer Roberts Jr aged 20 and Jimmie Ward aged 37 from the Mesquakie settlement are bound over for Tama County District Court on robbery with aggravation and assault with intent to inflict great bodily injury and resisting arrest. Deputy Clyde Wanatee, 46, guarding the truck, was attacked and injured with a fractured nose and cuts. The truck and hogs were found hours later stuck in mud on the Mesquakie settlement after a car blocked a road and a gunman ordered the driver out. Robert Johannes, 33, of Montour, drove the truck when forced to stop. Bond set at 15,000 for Roberts and 3,000 for Ward.
