County approves ambulance contract with new service
The Washington County Board of Supervisors signed a contract with Ambulance Service of Washington County for 1973 ambulance coverage. Jerry Beauchamp, president, and William Simmons of Booth Ambulance Service posted a $29,250 performance bond. The firm bid about $6,000 under the prior price and will supply a new conventional ambulance within ten days after an unsuccessful search for a used unit.
