Record cattle shipment arrives by rail to Washington town
A four day shipment of about 4 800 feeder cattle arrived in Washington from Forsythe and Manhattan Montana on 21 Burlington Northern cars. The largest group, 12 cars with over 500 cattle, arrived Tuesday. Shipper Luwa says freight savings from rail use exceed 150 to 200 dollars per car.
