Dubuque Youth Arrested After Highway 52 Crash
Walter Donath, 19, of Dubuque was arrested after a Sunday crash on Highway 52 north of town. A Dubuque girl riding with him was pinned under the pickup and taken to a hospital with internal injuries and a possible skull fracture. Donath faces charges of driving while intoxicated resisting an officer and operating a vehicle without a license. Also in the car were two youths and another girl. the vehicle belonged to Albert Metcalf, a local farmer.

He was born in Germany August 4 1870 and came to America in youth. He married Grace Alliss and the couple moved from Nebraska to Columbus Junction three years ago.
