William J. Taylor, 83, of 214 East Second Street, died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday after declining health since April 1949. Funeral services are set for 2:30 p.m. Friday at Sherman’s funeral home with Rev. Arthur Peters. burial in Elm Grove Cemetery. Born November 29, 1868, in Franklin township, he married Ida May Brown in 1888 and Nettie Seaton in 1902. He lived in Washington since 1916, was Baptist, and is survived by a daughter Mrs. Paul Harvey of Washington, a son Harry of Oakland, Calif., five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. One son and one daughter preceded him.
