Two Accidents Reported in Washington County on Wednesday
Two highway crashes occurred on Wednesday afternoon in Washington county. The first, at 3 15 p m on highway 92 near Temple corner, involved Galen Keighard of Washington driving a truck owned by E G Hamm. Wayne Henderson of Savannah Kansas traveling west clipped Keighard when Henderson drifted over the center line. Henderson sustained knee injuries. Parolee Ray Whetstine Returned From Ft Madison
Washington officials arrived in Ft. Madison to fetch Ray Whetstine after his release on parole from the state penitentiary where he served a five year term for a concealed weapons charge. He will be returned to serve a 90 day sentence for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated issued alongside the weapon sentence. Whetstine was arrested in November 1949 on both charges. Deputy sheriff Lloyd Roberson accompanied the transfer.

Third Victim In County Hospital This Afternoon
Mrs. Voris Jean Campbell and her daughter Bonnie Kay of Washington are dead from carbon monoxide poisoning. Russell Eugene Taylor, 36, a Washington Prams ter employee, is in county hospital with CO exposure after the discovery of a Packard in Elm Grove cemetery. John W. Winegarden found the car about 8 a.m. and again at 11 a.m. when he awakened Taylor. a coroner said the two victims likely died hours earlier with the car run on or choked from gas. An inquest was not scheduled before tomorrow.
