Pilgrim the pygmy whale dies after first meal in weeks
A 12 foot, 1000 pound male pygmy sperm whale named Pilgrim died on Galveston Island after eating its first meal in weeks. Found on Thanksgiving, the animal died late Friday night just before midnight. Leroy Lee of Sea-Arama said the whale would be sent to Texas A&M University for examination.
