Two Finnish reindeer, a male and female, gifted to Amy Carter, pass hoof and mouth and TB tests and remain at the Animal Import Center in Clifton, awaiting quarantine. Prisoner dies in Adams County Jail in Nebraska
Andrew Patsios, 18, a Fairfield resident facing four felonies from an April shootout with an Adams County sheriff's captain and a prime Iowa slaying suspect, was found dead in his Adams County Jail cell at 3:15 a.m. by jailer Bob Malesker. An autopsy was ordered as authorities described Patsios as appearing fine at 3 a.m. and later showing no signs of life.
