Council orders removal of unpermitted wooden stairway

SEMCO moves toward 100 acre landfill lease in Keokuk County
SEMCO officials report a 100 acre site near Richland on highway 78 is being leased for a four county landfill. Engineering tests on water depth soil structure and resistivity have been satisfactory and the State DEQ must approve before a Dec 11 board vote in Fairfield. All four counties must have approved landfills by July 1.
