Iowa scientists monitor Injun Explorer satellite readings

University of Iowa researchers hook data gear and tape recorders to the Injun Explorer as it orbits 330 to 1500 miles, passing over Iowa City. The 28 foot dish at 11 miles south tracks four passes daily, feeding data to a university computer to evaluate 16 radiation detectors built mostly at Iowa. The mission launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base with a 12 foot balloon also deployed.

Wilda Barnes 83 dies in Washington County hospital

Wilda H. Barnes 83 died Sunday November 22 1964 at Washington County Hospital. She lived in the United Presbyterian Home since 1952 and taught in public and mission schools before serving as librarian and teacher in United Presbyterian Mission Schools in Cairo and Luxor Egypt. Quintuplets born to French woman today

Paris AFP reports a suburban Asnieres woman gave birth to quintuplets who are in good health and were moved to a maternity clinic. The births coincide with a Mozambican case nearby, where Mrs Clara Mutanga delivered five healthy babies, four boys and a girl, last week.

Turkey growers to meet Wednesday at YMCA
