Katherine Tucker, 18, died from a skull fracture after falling down cement steps at her home near here on November 11. Survived by parents Mr. and Mrs. Ward Tucker. She was the second person to die this week from a similar accident, following Thomas Norris, 8%, who died Sunday after a fall at his home.

High school presents Lelawala an operetta based on Niagara legend set in colonial times. Maxine Allen stars as Lelawala with Harry Barker and Louis Thornton in key roles. Cast includes Archer Speidel Mabel Wallace Virginia Davis and others. Two acts unfold in Onlahgahrah camp with English and Indian characters, piano and orchestra accompaniment.
Washington county sealers Walter R. Brown and Howard M Stewart report re sealing 39 280 bushels of corn on new federal loans this fall. They note similar average per crib to last year's 400 000 bushels and 15 000 to 20 000 re sealed, with sealing possible on No 4 grade or better corn through December.

Los Angeles and interurban street car and bus traffic faced possible paralysis as the regional labor board tried to avert a strike by street railway workers. About 150 000 patrons would be affected. A conference was set to choose three impartial arbitrators, with a strike date to be announced soon. D A Mackenzie, vice president of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen, commented.
