Head on Collision Hospitalizes Two in Iowa
Esther L. Coblentz, 18, and her stepmother Geraldine M. Coblentz, 37, were seriously injured in a head on crash on Highway 22 east of Riverside near the Johnson County line. Two cars collide in Keota injuring driver
Two cars collided in front of the Kee-Wash building on the Washington Keokuk County road in Keota this morning at 11. A vehicle driven by Jim Pierce of Keota pulled from a driveway and was struck on the side by a northbound car driven by J T Smith of Oskaloosa, pushing the Pierce car about 150 feet. Pierce received minor injuries from a local doctor. The Keokuk County Sheriff's office investigated the accident.

Most would raise taxes, some lower them, as the commission seeks equalization to at least 27 percent of market value. A 47 year old meat cutter, Joseph Weisz of Hyattsville Maryland, had both hands sewed back after an accident with a meat chopping machine.
