Bodies of two Storm Lake men, Eddie O’Herron aged 29 and Ken Bauer 23, were sought after a crippled duck boat overturned during a retrieval attempt on Monday night. O’Herron left five children. Bauer, recently discharged from the army, ran a feed firm with his brother. Fire Chief Haroll Stanton led the search as decoys and a gun case were found ashore.
