Des Moines Girl Killed in Auto Crash Near Red Oak
Florence Upton, a Des Moines high school senior, died when the car she rode in tipped in a ditch near Red Oak. Her father, F P C Upton, farm manager for the Chicago Joint Stock Land Bank, was seriously injured with a broken leg and bruises. Quiet reign at county jail as inmates depart
Joe Piper and George Pearson, recently sentenced to the state reformatory at Anamosa for forgery, were moved to Anamosa by Sheriff Denison and Deputy Sweet.
