Junior Reception to Seniors at the Academy Banquet
The Junior class hosted a grand banquet for the soon graduating Seniors at Miss Ada Jenkins’s home. Floral décor, music, and elaborate menus framed the event with toast stations led by Walter Wilson and John Springer. About sixty attendees included faculty members Prof. Matthews and wife, Prof. McKee and wife, Miss Rudd, and Miss Smiley, plus both classes. A Davenport excursion train is planned for Sunday June 9 with a 9:15 a.m. departure and 11 p.m. return. round trip fare is $1.25.

About 85 guests attended the reception at the bride’s parents home, where a splendid feast followed the ceremony.
