At 4 a m a Cedar Rapids couple, Thomas and Luann Herzog, and their two babies survived a tornado or tornado-like wind that collapsed their roof just after they got up to close windows. They found their crib intact and sheltered in blankets while neighbors gave aid. The home was insured and the family avoided serious injury.
