Concerts in Park Begin In June With Municipal Band
The Washington Municipal Band plans a summer concert season starting Saturday June 3 at 8 pm in Central Park. Sundays will feature sacred vesper services from June 18 to August 10 with 15 minute talks by ministers. New marine style uniforms and music equipment are being ordered, with costs borne by the city. Ainsworth also contracts the band for Memorial Day performances.

Honors On Seniors Day At Washington High School
Seniors were saluted on a half day at Washington High School with awards for the year. The 1933 Hi-Life annual was announced and dedicated to Miss Lillian Minick as the auditorium showcased blue and silver colors.

Tomorrow America will honor World War dead with red poppies worn nationwide. In Washington the American Legion Auxiliary and volunteers will distribute memorial poppies all day. Proceeds fund relief for disabled veterans and their families, with poppies made by disabled veterans under Auxiliary supervision.

Second Vacation Bible Schools Planned in Washington
Washington will host two daily vacation Bible schools this summer from June 12 to June 30. The union program spans four churches Baptist Christian Methodist United Presbyterian with leadership by Rev Dr Fulton and Dr F C Witzigman assisted by pastors Satchett Wing.
