Six Rioters Sentenced in Iowa Farm Riot Case
In Le Mars Iowa May 27 six leaders of the Ply mouth county farm riots were sentenced by Judge Farm Peters. Martin Rosberg alleged ringleader received four years in Fort Madison penitentiary plus six months in county jail for assault with intent to commit great bodily harm and obstructing justice. Others include John Sokolovske one year in county jail plus twenty days for unlawful assembly, Laurence Krause one year and thirty days, Theodor Hartman Walter Jucker and Albert Kaiser each one year with parole. Judge issued a brief lecture warning parole could be revoked for poor conduct.

Golf Tournament Slated for Memorial Day Tuesday
Plans for a Memorial Day golf tournament on Tuesday May 30 are handed out by Ralph Gibson chairman of the tournament committee. Golfers will be divided under two captains to be appointed with winners receiving golf balls. An entry fee of twenty five cents is charged and play begins at one o clock. This will be the first tournament of the current season at the local club delayed by rainy weather.
