Preliminary plans for Washington Community Center unveiled
Art Lindgren of Lindgren Taylor Architects presented sketches for a Washington County Community Center to be built this winter at the fairgrounds if locals raise 200 000 dollars to match a half million dollar donor gift. The project includes a 450 seat auditorium with extra capacity, stage lighting, display areas, and lounges. Campaigns begin June 3 with late July general drive. Florence Sherman named campaign secretary.

The Washington Care Center seeks a bed addition with an estimated cost of 355000 and completion around February 1975.
