Union Members Vote on Settlement End to Meat Strike
Chicago May 21 The long meat packing strike may end Monday at plants of three of the big four firms. Union officers recommended 9 cent hourly raises to about 70,000 striking workers nationwide. Wilson not included. Packers had offered the raise before the strike began March 16. Workers at most struck plants voted last night on settlement terms. Returns from 100 plants in 44 cities were counted.
