Nine Men Return From Waterloo Strike Duty
Captain Charles Snyder of Troop A, 113th Mechanized Cavalry, reports nine members of the unit returned home from Waterloo after replacing nine men released from service on strike duty at the Rath packing plant. The group, mostly high school and junior college students, included Staff Sergeant Hensley and several Sergeants and Privates. The Washington soldiers are housed in a large garage and fed well in the packing plant mess hall. duties are light with infantry handling most heavy work.
