County Extension Director Jim Frier recommends a thorough fungicide spray as needles emerge, with Bordeaux mix for large plantings and copper sprays for home use. Apply 2 tablespoons chemical per gallon water, add 1 teaspoon spreader sticker, and repeat in about three weeks.
