War letters from England reveal life on active service

In a censored wartime letter printed via the Bulletin Index, Benjamin M. Dangerfield describes England as a nation of troops with every road sign gone and war measures in place. He praises British spirits, notes blackouts, air raid warnings, and anti aircraft defenses, and contrasts harsh rations with steadfast resolve and gratitude toward the U.S. and F D R. He calls for aid to Britain and reflects on Americans' taxes and the fighting spirit of the English people.
