Governor Ray to tour Soviet Union with Iowa delegation
Des Moines reports Gov. Robert Ray and his wife Billie will depart Friday on a two week trip to the Soviet Union as part of a state department delegation of eight governors and spouses. They will visit Moscow Kiev Tashkent Samarkand and Leningrad seeking new markets for Iowa agriculture and manufactured goods.

YWCA Bridge Mini-Marathon Final Round Winners
The final round was played Friday night in the Community Room. Pat Harris and Cornelia Shranger won the 6 round Marathon, with Ann Hess and Winifred Kelly as runners-up and Phyllis Hardy and Ruth Horton in third place. Lena Stewart and Marian Bates were low. Traveling prizes went to Cathleen Godfrey and Annie Tetley, while door prizes were awarded to Bess Llewellyn and Neva Campbell.
